Skillet Shepherd's Pie


1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (pork, chicken or turkey)
onion to desired amt., chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 c. water
1 envelope taco seasoning
2 c. shredded cheese (mexican, colby jack, cheddar-whatever you've got)
3 c. leftover or refrigerated mashed potatoes, warmed

In ovenproof skillet, cook the meat, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Stir in water and taco seasoning. Heat through. Stir in 1 c. cheese.
Combine potatoes and remaining cheese and spread over meat mixture. Broil 4-6 in. from heat for about 5 min., until golden brown.
Dinner comes together in no time!
