Emergency Rehydration Drink

By using 6 teaspoons of sugar, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 1 liter of water you can make your own emergency rehydration drink in the event you pick up a diarrhea-inducing disease or parasite.  This small step can save your life, even in a short-term disaster.  Dying of a lack of salt is not a pleasant way to go.  Salt can also be used to sanitize instruments for surgery and a host of other applications.
